When you indicate that you are single or married, that is when you are choosing your trust type.
The program uses your marital status to determine whether your trust is set up as an individual (single) trust or a joint (married) trust.
You may not see a separate screen labeled “Choose Trust Type.”
Your answer to the marital status question is what makes that selection.
If the trust type shown does not look right, go back and review how you answered the marital status question. Updating that response will automatically update the trust type.
