For your wallet card, you are able to define your organ donation preference. You will be able to decline organ donation, or let your agent decide.
It is essential that you let your agent know if you want your organs donated. If you think your agent won't be able to follow your known wishes as the document states, you should name someone else as agent.
Why is there no 'Yes' option to organ donation?
There is no selection for "Yes, I wan't my organs to be donated" because there are so many variables to organ donation.
You are kept alive to take the organs and the older we get the less likely they are to take organs.
Since we do not know the circumstances or death, we keep it open unless the person says no organ donation allowed.
To change Organ Donation preference:
1. Click on 'Your Info' at the top left of the program, then scroll down to select 'You - Make Changes'.
2. Scroll down to find Organ Donation - Do It
3. You'll then be able to select your organ donation preference.
