For your Financial Power of Attorney document, you are able to designate who you would like as your agent (also known as the attorney-in-fact) to have the authority to sign your name for you.
Attorney-in-Fact
An attorney-in-fact is the agent you appoint under a power of attorney for financial management to sign your name for you to documents.
To change the selected agent (attorney-in-fact):
1. Click on 'Your Info' at the top left of the program, then scroll down to select
'Decision Makers - Make Changes'.
2. The Financial Decision Maker - Make Changes
3. Here you will be able to edit the appointed attorney-in-fact .
About Additional Agents (Attorney(s)-in-Fact):
This program only allows you to enter one attorney-in-fact , however you may have the option to write in additional or successor attorney-in-fact once the document is printed. The option is state specific but the option is generally apparent when reviewing your document. Look for Special Instructions or Successor Attorney(s)-in-fact in your Financial Power of Attorney document.
