For your Revocable Trust, you will be able to designate who should receive your trust assets (also referred to as the residue of the trust estate) Any beneficiary listed here will be the primary people who receive your remaining assets when you die.
Beneficiary
The beneficiary of a trust or a will is the person who receives the benefit from the document. For the trust, you are the beneficiary during your lifetime and upon your death, those whom you’ve designated to receive the assets in your trust are your beneficiaries.
Residue of Estate
The residue of the estate is everything that’s left over after making any specific gifts that you may want to make.
To edit the primary beneficiaries for the residue of the estate:
1. Click on 'Your Info' at the top left of the program, then scroll down to select
'Beneficiaries - Make Changes'.
2. Scroll down to find Primary Beneficiaries and click 'Make Changes'
